Introduction

It is suggested by the examination board that you do this task for an imaginary company named "Recycle GB" choose the link on the left to do this one.

I have put together an alternative project, just choose the link on the left.

In your home folder, under the OCR folder, make a new folder called Module 21

Then make some folders inside this one called:

Task 1

Task 2

Task 3

Task 4

Task 5

Task 6

Evidence

Download a copy of the Evidence document, save it in your folder named "Evidence", and use it to hyperlink your work, this can be done at the end, or as you go along.

So, what do you need to produce ?

Research work

You must collect some examples of:

Navigation buttons

Navigation bars

Banner Adverts

I have put together a document to help you collect information, download it.

Design work

You will need to design three different types of web graphic, this can be done using publisher, word, coreldraw, fireworks, paint or even done on a piece of paper and scanned in.

The three types of graphic must follow a theme (house style).

The three types of graphic are:

Navigation button(s)

Navigation Bar(s)

Advertising Banner(s)

3. Navigation Bar

You will produce a Navigation bar using suitable software, Fireworks is the most suitable but Dreamweaver, Frontpage, Publisher and Coreldraw can all do it.

The higher marks will go to people who make use of drop down menus from their Navigation Bar, there are links to tutorials with more to follow.

4. Create a set of Navigation Buttons

You will need to make at least three navigation buttons making good use of colour and House Style.

The higher marks will go to those who animate their buttons using Flash or perhaps rollover effects.

There are some examples for you to use as templates or just for ideas here.

Create an Advertising Banner

You need to make at least one advertising banner, this can be done using a template, there are lots of blank ones on the Banners link for you to download and edit.

The higher marks will go to those who add some animation to their banner, this could be moving text or pictures.

Present your work in a suitable format.

This could be a single web page with all you work on, or a few pages showing that you buttons and navbars work.

You could also insert your work onto a simple Word document, but as this is a Web Graphics project, a web page will get the best marks.
